Thats not it. The side of the N series has a CD drive. THe side of the Laptops is ports. Of course it isn't a MacBook either. It's an iBook. So not even an x86 computer.
It still could be a Sony laptop, the guy who create the ad, could have just flipped the picture, it's a very common practice, i used to do it myself...
I'm typing on an iBook. It has a line of ports that look exactly like the size/shape of those in the picture, although it does have a vent to the right of them that isn't in the picture. But given the overall proportions and style (check the base depth of the Sony), I think the source photo was almost certainly an iBook.
What's sad is I'm still probably going to have to pay for an OS upgrade in the near future...
